The Bay of Audierne is distinguished by its contrasting coasts over 10km, which offer a landscape of fine sand and dunes.<\/p>

From the Pointe de la Torche<\/a>, to Penmarc’h, you will live a natural experience on the seaside combining nature and heritage.<\/p>

The neighboring sites such as the Pointe du Raz<\/a>, Locronan<\/a>, Concarneau <\/a>or Douarnenez<\/a> will invite you during the day or in the evening to experience unique moments. A little further out to sea, discover the Gl\u00e9nans Islands<\/a>, classified as a Unesco heritage site, and the Ile de Sein<\/a>.<\/p>

The beaches<\/h2>

The Lanvoran gite is located only 1.5 km from the sea and the beach of Kerrest<\/a>, also called Menhir beach.<\/p>

Nearby are also the Pointe de la Torche, <\/a>very popular with surfers, and the fine sandy beach of Trono\u00ebn. The site of Trono\u00ebn<\/a> is also a historical site worth visiting, with its chapel, its calvary and its miraculous fountain.<\/p>

A little further south, you will discover the beach of Kermabec in Tr\u00e9guennec<\/a>. This immense beach offers a magnificent 180\u00b0 view with the Crasseur de Galets in the background, a vestige of the construction of the Atlantic Wall.<\/p>

About 30 minutes away by car, two other incredible beaches are waiting for you: the Plage du Steir in Penmach<\/a>, at the extreme south of the Bay of Audierne and the Grande Plage<\/a> d’Audierne.<\/p>

The hiking trails<\/h2>

Lanvoran is an ideal site for walking and cycling and for hiking along the seashore, especially along the solar wind road<\/a>.<\/p>

The Bay of Audierne<\/a> is a fragile natural space, shaped by the wind. The fauna and flora are protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral<\/a>. Here are 3 hiking and walking trails that we particularly enjoy:<\/p><\/div>

– The famous GR\u00ae 34<\/a>,
– La Pointe du Raz<\/a>,
– The point of Millet<\/a>.<\/p>

The museums<\/h2>

If you are a museum buff and want to learn more about local history, there are several options:<\/p>

– The Breton Departmental Museum in <\/a>Quimper,
– The Henriot-Quimper<\/a> earthenware factory,
– The Bigouden museum in <\/a>Pont l’Abb\u00e9,
– The fishing museum in <\/a>Concarneau,
– The Admiral’s Museum in <\/a>Pouldreuzic,
– The Port museum<\/a> in Douarnenez,
– The Museum of the Marquisate<\/a> in Pont-Croix.<\/p>

The events<\/h2>
South Finist\u00e8re is a very dynamic region where you will be able to attend many events that honor local traditions. Here are some of the most famous events:<\/div>
– The Embroiderers’ Festival in <\/a>Pont l’Abb\u00e9 (in July),<\/div>
– The Cornouaille festival<\/a> in Quimper (in July),<\/div>
– The Mondial Folk festival<\/a> in Ploz\u00e9vet (in August),<\/div>
– The “Filets Bleus” festival<\/a> in Concarneau (in August),<\/div>
– The <\/a>Douarnenez Film Festival <\/a>(in August),<\/div>
Not forgetting the traditional Fest-noz<\/a> (night party)!<\/div>
